Ever since our family received a Pong game for Christmas in 1970, I have been enamored by computers and the ability to be able to to put motion graphics onto a television screen. Of course the screens in those days were cathode ray tubes (CRTs) and I wasn't aware at the time that what made that Pong game work, was a computer or more specifically, a microprocessor. It is the one single passion in my life that has been with me the longest.
In this section I reflect on the Computing devices and books that have consumed my life for nearly sixty years. From my first digital binary calculator to my most recent PCs and storage devices.
